Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone...
While high pressure is expected to keep our skies pretty clear today, we will see a few high, thin clouds along with that wildfire smoke that keeps the air very murky. The Air Quality Alert will stay in place until AT LEAST noon today. Highs will be in the mid 90's and gentle winds at 5-10 mph will have a variable direction across the region.
Winds will become a little gusty out of the north during the late afternoon and evening, and then turn light out of the south after midnight. Skies will stay mostly clear tonight, despite the smoke in the area. Overnight lows will be back down into the 50's.
Tomorrow will be warm again, but change pushes into the region beginning Thursday. Cool air and moisture associated with a cold front advancing from the Pacific will combine with some monsoonal moisture out of California and Nevada. This tag team will take our highs down to the upper 70' and low 80's Thursday and Friday. We will also see a slight chance of some scattered showers and possible thunderstorms. All of that breaks up Friday night, leaving us under sunny, but hazy conditions for the weekend with highs in the low to mid 80's.
HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
