January 6th AM Weather

Good Morning, Central Oregon!

Today we see something we have not seen in awhile...The sun! Although we have clear skies we will not warm up too much today. We will see daytime highs in the lower 20's to mid 20's. We will have a light South Easterly Breeze with temperatures dropping tonight to the single digits. We will see an increase in cloud cover by this evening.

Enjoy today, because the weekend has some snow and a wintry mixed on its way. Saturday we have a 70 percent chance to see one to four inches of snow. Temperatures will be in the mid 20's for daytime highs. The heaviest snow will start Saturday Evening and continue into the night. By Sunday afternoon temperatures will warm to the mid 30's and that snow will turn into a wintry mix of rain and snow. There is a possibility we could see some freezing rain. By Sunday evening the precipitation will taper off.

Monday we have a chance of mixed showers with temperatures in the upper 30's that will continue for the rest of the week. A chance of snow returns to the area by Tuesday and the rest of the week has a chance of a wintry mix. Temperatures will stay in the upper 30's.
