Friday AM Local Alert Weather, 8-18-17

Good Friday Morning, Everyone...

High pressure will continue to dictate clear, sunny skies for us, but much like yesterday, wildfire smoke will fill our skies again today. Highs will be in the mid 80's to low 90's and NW winds at 5-10 MPH will be a bit gustier for some.

Skies will stay pretty clear and smoky tonight. Lows will be in the 50's and breezes will turn westerly at 5-10 MPH.

We will stay sunny and smoky this weekend. Highs will be in the mid 80's...pretty average for this time of year. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 40's.

YOUR ECLIPSE FORECAST:  After a cool, but average night temps will warm to the low 70's by the time of the eclipse...c. 10.21 AM. Breezes will remain gentle and generally out of the west and SW. Monday's highs will be in the low 90's and unless crews get a handle on the wildfires over the weekend, we will still see a fair amount of smoke in the air. Temps will cool back to the mid 80's beginning Wednesday. At the same time, modest amounts of moisture will push into the Pacific NW and that will give us a slight chance of some pop-up thunderstorms in the afternoon for the rest of the week.

HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
