Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston plans to play college football for two more seasons, according to The Associated Press.
Winston, a redshirt freshman, will be eligible to enter the NFL draft in 2015. However, coach Jimbo Fisher said Wednesday he believes the reigning Heisman Trophy winner will be a Seminole for two more years.
Several draft experts projected Winston as a top pick in this year's draft if he were eligible. He led the Seminoles to the BCS National Championship over Auburn in the Rose Bowl.
Winston completed 237 of 349 passes for 3,820 yards with 38 touchdowns and 10 interceptions before the title game in winning the Heisman. The passing yardage and passing touchdown totals are NCAA freshman records.
He also plays baseball for the Seminoles.
