The Baltimore Orioles optioned right-hander Kevin Gausman to Triple-A Norfolk after Friday night's loss to the New York Yankees.
The club called up relief pitcher Brad Brach from Norfolk to take Gausman's spot on the 25-man roster.
Gausman, one of the top prospects in baseball, is 3-1 with a 2.74 ERA in four starts with the Orioles.
Brach adds depth to the Orioles' bullpen. The Orioles may call Gausman back up on June 27 when they play a doubleheader against the Tampa Bay Rays.
