Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez has recovered from a broken foot suffered early last season and received clearance to return to the court.

Lopez was injured after playing in only 17 games last season. Before going down, Lopez was off to a hot start, averaging 20.7 points, six rebounds and 1.8 blocked shots in 31.4 minutes.

"I was fully cleared for play and everything about a week and a half ago now," Lopez told reporters in Russia, where he is visiting with twin brother Robin, a Portland Trail Blazers center. "Now it's time to get back in shape."

Lopez's injury was to the same foot that was surgically repaired from a fracture in 2011.
