Report: Crabtree could return in late November
The San Francisco 49ers expect wide receiver Michael Crabtree back by late November, a source told ESPN.
Crabtree has been out since an offseason torn Achilles tendon injury. However, he is reportedly not expected to significantly contribute until the end of the regular season.
"It looks like he'll be ready come playoff time," the source said.
Crabtree, who led the 49ers in receiving last year, had surgery to repair the injury in May. He was injured during a spring practice.
Coach Jim Harbaugh said previously that he believes Crabtree will be "game ready" by mid-November.
The 49ers could get wide receiver Mario Manningham back from a torn ACL next week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played 12 games for San Francisco last year before the injury.
