Montreal Canadiens left wing Max Pacioretty, Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron and Minnesota Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom have been named the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the week ending March 3. Pacioretty recorded at least one point in all four of his games, tying for the League lead in goals (four) and points (seven). He began the week with one assist in a 2-1 shootout loss at the Ottawa Senators Feb. 25 and scored two goals in a 5-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs Feb. 27. Pacioretty then posted one goal and one assist against both the Pittsburgh Penguins March 2 and Boston Bruins March 3. The 24-year-old leads Montreal with 8-12—20 in 18 games this season. In 220 career NHL games, all with the Canadiens, the New Canaan, Conn., native and reigning Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy winner has 61-73—134.
