Los Angeles Lakers center Pau Gasol had hoped to return as early as Sunday from a foot injury, but it appears that he has suffered a setback.
There's a chance the Lakers also might be without Bryant for Sunday night's game against Sacramento.
Gasol was bothered by soreness in the foot Saturday during a workout at the team's training facility, according to an ESPN report. A Lakers spokesman said Gasol will be examined Sunday by a foot specialist and his condition will be updated before the Lakers' home game against the Kings.
A torn plantar fascia has prevented Pasol from playing since Feb. 5.
Bryant suffered a severe ankle sprain last Wednesday and was limited to 12 minutes Friday night against the Indiana Pacers. He failed to score in that game, and the Lakers listed him as doubtful for Sunday.
As Bryant continues to undergo treatment on the foot, he tweeted Saturday that he's also battling the flu.
