BEND, Ore. -

Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.) will be in Central Oregon on Monday to give updates on jobs, federal spending, and health care, starting with a town hall meeting in Madras, where Walden will give an update on his work to grow the economy and take questions from citizens.

The town hall will take place at 9 a.m. at the Madras Senior Center, 860 SW Redmond.

From Madras, Walden will head to Redmond to meet with Mayor George Endicott and other city leaders.

Walden will then head to Bend for a roundtable meeting of small businesses hosted by the Bend Chamber of Commerce. He will give an update on implementation of the Affordable Care Act, especially its impact on the Chamber’s health insurance plan threatened by the law.

On Tuesday, Walden will head to southern Oregon for a town hall meeting in Jackson County and home health care meetings in Grants Pass and Medford.
