Who is Obama scared of?
President Obama says he hasn't smoked in six years because he is scared of his wife
President Barack Obama has made it clear to the public that he's quit smoking. But Monday he may have hinted at the real reason why: he's afraid of his wife.
The moment of candor followed a roundtable discussion during a conversation caught on camera at the United Nations General Assembly between Obama and Maina Kiai, the U.N. Special Rapporteur for rights to freedom of peaceful assembly.
Caught off-mic, Obama said to Kiai: "I hope you've quit smoking."
To that Kiai replies: "Sometimes."
Obama then says "no, no, no I haven't" followed by a word that's inaudible and then: "in six years. That's 'cause I'm scared of my wife."
