MEDFORD, Ore. -

Three people on a flight from Bend walked away from a crash-landing of their small plane at Rogue Valley International Medford Airport after its landing gear failed to deploy properly Sunday evening, officials said.

Airport officials told KDRV (http://www.kdrv.com/small-plane-crashes-at-local-airport/) the single-engine Beechcraft was carrying a pilot and two passengers on a flight from Bend.

It reportedly slid to a stop on its nose, but no one was injured, they said.

The incident prompted closure of the airport's main runway until National Transportaton Safety Board investigators could approve the plane's removal from where it landed.

FAA records indicate the 1979 Beechcraft V35B is owned by Blue White & Red Inc. in Bend.
