Photographers display work at Redmond Library

Exhibition on display through March 2

Local photos on display at Redmond Library

REDMOND, Ore. - Central Oregon is home to many amazing photographers, and some of their work is on display at the Redmond Public Library.

The annual Redmond Library Photography Exhibition is going on now.

The community is encouraged to go check out some of the work from our local artists.

About 60 pieces are on display throughout the library, and not only can you look, but you can also buy the art.

The pieces are selling fast: 10 of the pieces have already been purchased.

Redmond Library Supervisor Daniel Ball said Saturday that "700 to 900 folks come through here a day.So it's a phenomenal way to get exposure for your art and sell pieces, and not only contribute to the art side of our community but also make some money."

From every purchase, 20 percent of the proceeds goes directly back into the library.

That means more money for books, movies and CDs for the library.

Also on display is art from the Deer Ridge Correctional Facility's welding shop.

The show runs now until March 2nd.
