Redmond church seeks houses to paint

REDMOND, Ore. - Community Presbyterian Church of Redmond, OR is accepting applications through July 8, 2013 for eligible houses to paint in Redmond. 

The goal of the project is to promote "Love Thy Neighbor" and neighborhood beautification and is designed to help senior citizens and the disabled by painting their homes ~ at no cost to them.

Applicants must meet the following guidelines:

§  Applicants must be age 60 or older and/or be handicapped and own their own home.

§  The homeowner must be unable to afford a commercial paint job.

§  The homeowner must be living at the residence and not plan on selling it in the near future.

§  The home must be a single family residence.

§  The home must be in need of paint but not be in such poor condition that painting would not be worthwhile.

Anyone may nominate a home to be painted.  Applications are available at Community Presbyterian Church, 529 NW 19th Street, Redmond, Oregon and the Redmond Senior Center.  Volunteers and donations are welcome.  The project is scheduled for July 27, 2013.
