BEND, Ore. - During the season of giving, remember the homeless, abused and neglected animals in our community. There are holiday opportunities to help the nearly 4,000 animals cared for by the Humane Society of Central Oregon each year.
Humane Society Wish Trees: Wish Trees are the Humane Society of Central Oregon's annual drive for donations to meet the needs of the 4,000 animals cared for each year. Visit one of HSCO's wish trees and choose an ornament which lists an item that is needed. The Wish Trees can be found in Bend at the Humane Society of Central Oregon Animal Shelter (61170 SE 27th St.), HSCO Paws & Shop (550 SW Industrial Way), Bend Pet Express (420 Windy Knolls Dr), Birkenstock of Bend (836 NW Wall St.) and Columbia Banks (1133 NW Wall St and 1701 Third St.). Wish tree donors receive 5% off purchase when donations are brought to Birkenstock of Bend. The wish list is also available on-line at www.hsco.org or by calling 541 382-3537.
Humane Society of Central Oregon Adoption Gift Certificates are available for the pet lover on your list. Adoption gift certificates for a dog, cat or choice of a dog or cat are available at the animal shelter in Bend. Gift certificates include full adoption care package. Adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, veterinary health exam, microchip identification, collar, leash, ID tag, leash or carrying box, one month free pet health insurance, free pet food and a best friend for life.
Humane Society of Central Oregon Thrift Store Gift Certificates are available at the Thrift Store at 5th and Greenwood and Paws & Shop at the Old Mill Marketplace, 550 SW Industrial Way. The Thrift Store directly supports the programs and services the shelter provides the animals and people of our community.
Designer ID Tags are the perfect gift for a quick and safe return of a companion animal. Custom ID tags are available at the Humane Society of Central Oregon animal shelter in a variety of designs to fit your pet's personality.
