REDMOND, Ore. -

A 39-year-old Redmond man -- arrested last fall in an alleged hospital parking lot drug deal -- was arrested again Friday before a pair of drug raids on his southwest Redmond apartment and a home, authorities said Thursday..

Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team detectives executed the first search warrant shortly before 2 p.m. last Friday at 937 SW 11th Street in Redmond, said Lt. Ken Mannix.

Barrett Wayne Hamilton was arrested in the apartment complex parking lot before the raid, Mannix said. He had been under investigation for the past month for allgedly making and distributing methamphetamine, as well as other crimes.

As a result of that raid, a second search warrant was served around 9 p.m. at 1062 SW 18th Street in Redmond Mannix said, adding that Hamilton "has been the subject of previous CODE investigations."

During the pair of raids, detectives found and seized a small amount of meth, drug paraphernalia and evidence of drug sales and manufacturing, as well as evidence of tampering with a witness and obstructing governmental administration.

Hamilton was lodged in the Deschutes County Jail, where he remained held Thursday on $50,000 bail.

Last October, Hamilton, then living in Bend, and Michelle Murray, 26, also of Bend, were arrested in the parking lot of St. Charles Medical Center-Bend as drug agents seized meth and abut $2,600 in cash, found in a car's hidden compartment.
