The office of Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., said Friday the senator will hold town halls in Prineville, Bend and Madras on Monday, Feb. 18.
Merkley "will update constituents on his work in Washington, DC and answer their questions and invite their suggestions about how to tackle the challenges facing Oregon and America," the statement said.
“Talking directly to Oregonians in every county is a great way to hear about the issues folks want me to fight for in Washington,” said Merkley. “I urge all residents of Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties to come and share their opinions and work with me to make our state and nation a stronger place.”
In 2008, Merkley pledged to hold town halls in each of Oregon’s 36 counties every year. He upheld his pledge in the previous four years and is continuing that commitment in 2013. Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson Counties will be his 159th, 160th and 161st town halls as a U.S. Senator.
