Fred Meyer recalls bread; may contain plastic
Fred Meyer's Clackamas bakery issued a recall Tuesday on several bread items that could contain pieces of plastic and were shipped to stores around the Northwest.
"We are unsure at this point how this could occur but are investigating," said Community Affairs Manager Melinda Merrill.
"We have not heard from any customers that they have experienced this -– it’s something we discovered at our bakery," Merrill said.
These items were delivered to Fred Meyer Stores in Idaho, Oregon and Washington and were delivered on Friday, Feb. 22, Sunday, Feb. 24 and Monday, Feb. 25.
All affected product has been pulled from Fred Meyer shelves. All Fred Meyer Rewards card holders who purchased this product will receive a phone message alerting them to this recall.
Merill said customers can bring the product to the store for refund or exchange.
