PRINEVILLE, Ore. -- Crews were able to contain a quarter-acre fire on BLM land along Juniper Canyon Road near Prineville on Friday.The fire was reported about noon, about two miles north of Prineville Reservoir.Crook County and BLM fire crews originally had trouble reaching the blaze because it was on a ridge.Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch officials said it was a lightning-caused fire that smoldered for a few days before finally flaring up.
