UMATILLA, Ore. (AP) — The city planning commission has given its OK for a third stripper bar along the main drag in the Columbia River town of Umatilla.

And commissioner John Nichols was among those who went along because the zoning ordinances gave them no choice.

Nichols then resigned, saying, in his words, "The more I thought about it, we're selling flesh. My gut is all in a twist about it."

The East Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/1qoXUr2) that the Honey Bunnz Hideout joins two other similar businesses along the street.

City officials say the zoning ordinances don't give the planning commission authority to specify what types of businesses can go downtown.
