Police say they pulled over Robert Dupree in The Colony, Texas for failing to signal.
However, when they ran Dupree's license plate, they discovered that he owed more than $56,000 in unpaid tolls.
The North Texas Tollway Authority says there is no way that this is a mistake.
"We're talking about someone who would have gotten a number of invoices; he has more than 2,000 tolls," says NTTA spokesman Michael Rey. "It would appear that he's the type of person who just decides that they are not going to pay any tolls."
Dupree is reportedly among the NTTA's worst offenders.
"He`s a lot closer to the top than the bottom," says Rey.
Dupree did come up with the money to post bond.
