Matt Damon said he and Luciana Barroso, his wife of seven years, have "no secrets," but there's one thing he wasn't ready for her to see.

(Hint: It's not the intimate scenes he shares with Michael Douglas in "Behind the Candelabra.")

The actor, who plays Liberace's lover Scott Thorson in the HBO movie told Entertainment Weekly that he had to get spray tans on his backside to rock his character's metallic thong.

"Every Sunday night, this girl would come to my house and I would stand in my garage and I would hike my boxer briefs up into the crack of my a-- and she would give me a spray tan," Damon said.

Despite having been with Barroso "through three childbirths," Damon said, "I really wish she didn't see that. That's too much."

Douglas stars as Liberace in the Steven Soderbergh-directed TV movie, which is based on Thorson's 1988 autobiographical novel, "Behind the Candelabra: My Life With Liberace."

It's Douglas' first role since announcing he "beat" throat cancer in January 2011. As he told EW, "It was great to get back. It gave me a new appreciation for what I do, taking advantage of it."

"Behind the Candelabra," which also stars Debbie Reynolds and Dan Aykroyd, is expected to air on May 26.
