Despite his slimming down for a role, it sounds like Matthew McConaughey is spending quite a bit of time in the kitchen.
He told US Weekly that he's "doing a lot of cooking" for wife Camila Alves while the pair anxiously await baby No. 3.
"There's a Brazilian dish that her mother does, so we're having it more often than we're used to," he told the magazine. "That involves a lot of chicken, a lot of cheese and things like that, which I'm not having, but she is."
Instead, McConaughey said he's sticking to foods that are high in protein and low in carbohydrates to prepare for his role in "The Dallas Buyer's Club." The film is based on the life of Ron Woodroof, a Texas man who was diagnosed with AIDS 1986.
"I'm playing a guy who was sick and would have loved to have been healthier but wasn't," he said. "For me, it's more of a mental thing than a physical thing. I'll get down to the weight I need to get to. I'm on my way, and it's what I need to do for the job."
