EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - A federal bankruptcy judge has ordered the liquidation of Country Coach, a Lane County maker of recreational vehicles.
The Eugene Register-Guard reports that creditor Wells Fargo was not interested in further attempts by Country Coach's management to find an investor.
At a hearing Wednesday, Judge Albert Radcliffe ordered the company's Chapter 11 reorganization converted into a Chapter 7 liquidation.
Two years ago, the company had 1,600 employees.
But the RV business was hit hard by the recession, and Country Coach shut down a year ago.
It resumed limited production later but stopped building the coaches in September.
