PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Wade LeBlanc of the Portland Beavers has been named the Pacific Coast League's pitcher of the week.
The left-hander with an excellent change-up won both his starts last week.
LeBlanc allowed one run in six innings in an Aug. 17 victory over the Omaha Royals and then pitched seven innings of scoreless ball against Sacramento on Saturday. He fanned 12 batters in his 13 innings of work and allowed only six hits.
He is the first Beaver to win the honor this season
