DRW garage fire stopped; officials credit 'defensible space'

A smoky fire destroyed a detached garage in Deschutes River Woods south of Bend Friday evening, but firefighters working in temperatures in the 90s - and neighbors' "defensible space" -- kept the blaze from reaching nearby trees or threatening homes in the heavily wooded subdivision.

This is limited to ONE ride ticket per child (regardless of how many cans of food) and the child must be present at the time of donation to receive the free ride. All canned food goes to Neighbor Impact to distribute to families in need.
