ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State Police say someone is responsible for unlawfully killing and wasting a bull elk in Clatsop County.

Officials with the Fish and Wildlife Division say the animal was found along Trailover Road in the Jewell area of Clatsop County.

Officials say the animal was found with only its hind quarters and antlers removed and the rest of the animal was left to waste.
