BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Boise police say they have apprehended six people suspected of stealing nearly $13,000 worth of clothes and merchandise during a shoplifting blitz last weekend.
Detective Craig Nixon says the suspects used baby strollers to conceal the stolen shoes, handbags, jackets, children's cloting and other merchandise filched from several large retail stores during a few hours Sunday.
All six suspects are from Las Vegas and face charges of felony burglary and grand theft.
Investigators say the group is part of a ring of thieves who select cities like Boise that are isolated but have easy highway access.
Police were tipped off about the activity by store employees who noticed the suspcicious behavior.
Detecitves arrested 5 of the suspects hours later outside a store, while the sixth was apprehended at a motel room that was filled with stolen goods.
