BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) - The Baker City Council has narrowed its search for a new city manager to two men.
Tim Johnson of Portland and Clarence Hulse of Florida emerged as finalists Monday from a group of 4 who visited Eastern Oregon last week for interviews.
Johnson is a former assistant to the city manager of San Diego. Hulse is the former deputy city manager of Cocoa, Fla.
The opening was created by the June firing of Steve Brocato. The decision sparked a recall campaign against Mayor Dennis Dorrah and Councilwoman Beverly Calder, but both survived.
