CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) - Three local wineries are opening a cooperative wine-tasting room in downtown Caldwell.
The room featuring wines from Fujishin Family Cellars, Bitner Vineyards and Vale Wine Company is set to open this weekend.
Martin Fujishin with Fujishin Family Cellars says the cooperative fits into the city's downtown revitalization push, and the region's efforts to establish itself as the gateway to Idaho's wine country.
The owners of the three wineries are longtime friends and graduates of The College of Idaho. They've named the tasting room Coyotes, after the college's mascot.
