More fires in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood

Associated Press - November 5, 2009 10:55 AM ET

SEATTLE (AP) - The owner of a business hit by fire early Thursday in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood says firefighters told him it's likely arson.

Bill Clements of Rosewood Guitar says quick work by firefighters prevented flames from burning inside the building and damaging instruments.

Fire Department spokeswoman Dana Vander Houwen (HOW'-en) says the cause of the fire and another fire in the neighborhood that burned the back porch of an accounting office remain under investigation.

She says officials can't say yet whether they are related to an unsolved arson fire on Oct. 23 in the same neighborhood. That fire destroyed four restaurants and caused $2 million damage.

No injuries in any of the fires.
