Pacific University names new president

FOREST GROVE, Ore. (AP) - Pacific University has chosen an Oregon Health & Science University educator to be its next president.

Pacific University announced Tuesday that Lesley M. Hallick, chief academic officer at OHSU for 20 years, will replace Phillip Creighton.

Creighton has been president of Pacific University since 2003. Hallick's job begins Aug. 1.

Pacific University has more than 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs on campuses in Forest Grove, Portland, Hillsboro and Eugene.
