Anchor/Reporter, NewsChannel 21 at Five, Six, Ten and Eleven

I re-joined KTVZ in 2007 as weeknight anchor of NewsChannel 21 at 5, 6, & 11 and our Fox broadcast at 10pm.

As a wearer of many TV hats, I also produce Newschannel 21 at 11pm. 2012 marks 10 years in my broadcast news career.

Prior to returning to Bend, I spent two fast-paced years as a reporter and anchor at KTXL Fox40 in Sacramento, California. I was happily thrown into the fire there, covering many national news stories such as the two wayward whales that swam all the way to Sacramento from the San Francisco Bay, the Lake Tahoe wildfire that burned over 250 homes, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's time in office, the Oakland bridge collapse and many others.

Because of my roots as an Oregonian, and my stockpile of outdoors-ready clothes, I was often sent to cover the record snowfall in the Sierra. I became a police scanner junkie, and my photographers and I were often first on the scene to breaking news.

After that invaluable experience, I made a quality of life decision to return to Central Oregon and to NewsChannel 21. It's where I began my news career as weekend anchor and reporter in 2002. A journalism graduate of the University of Oregon, I'm a Portlander and attended Jesuit High School.

I'm proud to have been honored for my reporting by the Oregon Press Women and have been twice awarded Best Breaking News Coverage in 2008 and 2011 by the Oregon Association of Broadcasters.

Since 2008, I've served on the board of directors for the Bend chapter of "Start Making A Reader Today," or SMART, a children's literacy program that pairs volunteers with children in K-3rd grades who are falling behind. I also work with Bend non-profit Healthy Beginnings as part of our 21 Cares for Kids partnership.

I'm a season pass-holder at Mt. Bachelor, obsessive foodie, gardener and animal lover. I live in Bend with my husband, dog and cat.
