Born in Texas and raised in Western Washington, I have now moved to Central Oregon to begin an exciting career in broadcast journalism.

My interest in journalism and storytelling sparked when I was in high school, when I got the opportunity to job-shadow a sports writer from the local newspaper.

It was that experience that led me to pursue a degree in journalism from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.

At WWU, I was lucky enough to get an internship with the Center for New Media (a local nonprofit video production company).

During my internship, I produced, anchored and reported for a weekly online sports show called “Whatcom Sports Report.” I graduated from WWU in December of 2012.

The ambition I used to create my own weekly sports show while in school is what propelled me to join KTVZ NewsChannel 21 in beautiful Bend.

I’m more than excited to get to know Central Oregon better and tell all the fantastic stories that take place here.

In my spare time, I love watching sports (HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan), hanging out with friends and family, dancing, making others laugh and doing things outdoors.

If you would like to drop a story idea my way, or to just say hello, you can reach me at
