Co-anchor/reporter, NewsChannel 21 at Sunrise

My path to broadcast journalism has certainly not been a traditional one.  Never believing that rules or conventions necessarily applied to me, I took a chance and pursued a career in journalism long after college.

I am a mom of four children -- yes, four.  I have spent many years at home and working as well, most recently in the Oregon Senate.

 As a true lover of politics, I am fascinated by opposing opinions and individuals motivations.  I am enjoying the election season and telling the stories that matter to the people of Central Oregon.

Originally from Portland, my family and I have been long-time Central Oregon visitors.  We are happy to finally call Bend our home.  Our family loves the outdoors and plans to spend most of the winter on the mountain.  

I am a life-long student and a reluctant collector of textbooks.  As a self-proclaimed Lego master architect, I build a mean Lego car wash, and I have been known to hop in my kids' bath fully clothed, just for a laugh.

I'm thrilled to join the KTVZ news team as Sunrise co-anchor with Alicia Inns.
